I looked at the parts stuff and just want to make sure this is the right part and how long before I have to replace it?
It is dripping while the engine is running.....not much about ten drops a minute... but, I am guessing this means it is failing?
It is located just below the fuel filter and has a radiator hose coming out of the top.....water pump?
Guessing Iboats carries these?

Yes. Raw water pump. You have to buy the Volvo pump. They list for a little over $300.

Re: Water leaking from----Water Pump?

with my luck it will be the $400 dollar kit......OMG......I still have not fixed the fuel issue.....one at a time....I wish.....anyhow if anyone knows or if I need to get a number off the pump.

How long will it last dripping ? my assumption is that keeps the engine cool and the temp sit at 175 and does not budge once it is warmed up...can I get away with watching the temp? or will this thing POUR water into the bilge when it fails?

It will probably just drip. If you are boating in fresh water, not that big of a deal.

I was able to get bearings and seal for my pump through napa auto parts, I googled the numbers on the seal and bearing and wrote down every cross reference I could get, then just googled those numbers, didn't take 15 min before they popped up on NAPA's website. They were inexpensive and identical right down to the brand name. Impellers are available on the after market or oem.

So what should I do? let it leak for the summer and watch the temp or pull it out and attempt to rebuild it? I still have a fuel issue I am chasing and may need to spend money on......decisions decisions.....input ??? I ran boat for a couple hours Sunday and it might have dripped a half gallon of water.....

So what should I do?

We can give you options, but you have to make the final decision what you are going to do.

When those pumps drip, that means you have water going through a bearing or two. What do you think happens when water gets on bearings and causes rust. Mechanical things don't heal, they get worse.
Personally, I would replace the pump now instead of trying to find one when if finally fails on the first day of the 4th of July 3 day weekend and you can't find one.

(stomping feet) I don't want to........well 25mph winds projected for this weekend so......maybe I will pull it Sunday or Monday......any thing I need to be wary of or is it a simple unbolt and bot on type thing......from glancing at it seems very simple......what about if I try to rebuild any special tools required or open it up and put kit in ?

If you are going to rekit it yourself, there are a few things you will need. A press and jig to remove bushings. Also and I think more importantly, is check housing and shaft for wear. Of course new seals will probably help, but if housing, bushing/s and impeller shaft is worn and you reinstall it that way, it's guaranteed to leak again! Just a word of caution. Post back and let us know. Also make sure you use a little grease on new seal and shaft. If you don't as soon as the shaft turns it's a good chance it will tear new seal.

I do not have a press or a jig....also do not know how to use them so maybe I should buy ???
Guess I will have to pull it to get the part # for replacement ?

Do not suppose there is anyone local to DFW area who could rebuild it ???

Re: Water leaking from----Water Pump?

They are 2 completely different pumps, only you can see your pump and know which one to get. As far as the $90 kit, I have no idea what is included in the kit, but there is nothing in that kit that isn't shown in the breakdown of the pump.

Where are you seeing a kit for $90? I see repair kits that are just the impeller but nothing that shows bearings and seals.
