Problem solved!!!! It works, or should I say, doesn't "leak" anymore in that spot!! Tested the motor in the river Saturday, and it worked "real nice". Now it I can figure out how to make it go fast from a "hole shot", I'll be just fine....posted that problem/question in another post.....Thanks to all that helped....Dan

rickdb1boat--After the first test, I took the lower unit off. I installed a new gromet on the water pump, and a new gromet where the water tube connects. (also added a lot of sealant around water pump and all surfaces) When I ran the motor in the river Saturday, I saw no leaks where I prevouisly mentioned...I drained the oil in the lower unit this morning, and it was clear. Whatever I did seemed to work.....Dan
