What is the correct placement for water muffs on the 1957 35hp Lark? There is a plate on the shaft (just above the fins) mounted with two screws that has about 5 holes in it. Is this where I place the muffs? There is another area lower down, that has a screen. Is that the place? let me know. Thanks.

Re: water muffs... Placement

Actually you can't use muffs on those at all. It is said there was once an adapter available to hook up a hose but they are almost impossible to find. I've never actually seen one. You have to run them in a tub of water. Garbage can, 55 gallon drum, test tank something like that. It (the water) needs to be up above the level of the water pump itself. I like to have it about even with the lower mounts.
