With my '56 3hp 'rude on my 10' jon the water outlet sits just barely above the water level. Is this a problem ? It ran fine last year. This model has a square "box" with a cover on it just below the clamp; with three square holes on each side. I would guess at times it may drop below the water level for a short amount of time depending on conditions. any comments?
-Thanks

actually that is the exhaust relief, most of the water exits with the exhaust. no problem.

You should be fine. Even if they are slightly underwater, there is enough churning going on around the leg that it should be ok. Why is it running so low in the water? You could put a 1" or 2" block of wood under the transom clamp to raise it up slightly.
