Hey I have another question?should the boats bow be higher then the stern or should the boat be level when you have covered? I told you I would have some lame brain questions. Sorry.

When on the trailer- always park it bow high. In the event that water gets into the boat you want it to drain down and get out.

And you should always keep your outdrive trimmed down as far as you can when storing the boat as well. The bellows will last longer. When the drive is up, it keeps undue tension on those bellows.
Also, never run your engine when the drive is trimmed all the way up in trailer position. It's bad for the u-joints.

... to add to the comments, always run the motor with water, ether in the water or with water muffs. There is a water impeller that needs water or it will burn out,,, in seconds.

A little running in the up position won't hurt anything if the rpms are kept below 1000. Also, keep the u-joints serviced. That'll certainly do less damage than running all the way down in shallow water with a rocky bottom.

I called Carver and they said 12 straps should be enough!
So, which are the 7 loops you ignore?

Just use every loop.

In some cases (close to either end) I use 1 strap and run it under the boat and connect the other end to the matching loop on the other side. I also have a Carver cover on one of my boats and made my own straps out of a bulk roll of webbing and a box of QD buckles.

2 on the back and the rest on the side. I'll try what you did and run a couple under the boat tying it to a loop on each side. Thanks great idea.
