water pressure gauge pressures

I have a 82 35hp evinrude can anybody tell me what pressure I should have at idle and at full rev? I just put a new waterpump on and am in the process of installing a water pressure gauge and would like to know what it should read.Or is it a waste of time for this gauge on this size of motor??

Never a bad gauge to have! I'd look for around 5-7 at idle and 12-15 at wide open. That's ballpark, I don't have the specs.

I have a OMC book but can't find that spec. in it. Anybody know where I could look for it?

Ya won't have aspeck for water press. in the books. WBW is in the ball park. After installation of the gage, get some gage pressures at various throttle settings, idle, 1/2, WOT, and use these as future references. Would be nice to have a new impeller in the pump for this.
