Where is the best place to mount a pressure gauge on 1991 evinrude 225. One head is hotter than other while running, what could cause that? Will thermostats help mine were removed?

elwilliams13,

You can tee into the telltale line.

Put the stats back in. They were there for a reason. Running without them causes hot and cold spots in the engine. Your engine will idle alot better too.

Re: water pressure gauge

if you still have the water control valve you will have to put T into hose feed from starboard side adapter plate to the water control valve.
that is the only way to get accurate readngs.

All 90 degree loopers take readings from the adapter plate.

Good luck!

Yes, crossflows T into the tell-tail hose.
