Re: Water pressure guage needs fix

I have a 1988 Bass Tracker water pressure gauge has a leak any ideas how to fix it?

Are you absolutely sure it is the gauge leaking and not the tube running to it? If it is the tube connection, then just cut off an inch or two and reattach... Drain the water out of the tube before reattaching it too... The water doesn't actually go to the meter only the air pressure in the tube unless it gets a slit or crack...

Water flows out the tube I took it apart and blew into connecter air exits copper line on back of gauge. It looks like a fairly simple design inside. Any ideas???

Replace the gauge. It is broken. You cannot take it apart and if you did, soldering the Bourdon tube would render it inaccurate.

I second what SilverTip stated...now! They are not made to take apart. They are checked and calibrated at the factory. When you took it apart, that ended that calibration...

If you did manage to get it back together it would be even more useless then previous...
