Water pressure

Could someone please tell me what the water pressure should be on a 1985 70HP Evinrude 3 cyl. Model No: E70TLC. Thanks in advance.

A lot depends on whose gauge you use but around 20 is common. BTW -- the next letter in your model number will complete it. If its an 85 the next letter should be an O.

With a water pressure gauge you can.<br /><br />To OP: teleflex waterpressure table <br /><br />As far as I can tell from this table, the pressure on a 3 cyl 70 hp should be 6-12 PSI at WOT of 5000. I believe the table's accurate - it was for my older OMC V6.

My apologies, I did leave the "O" off. I just wanted to know what teh pressure should be more or less so I can order the correct gauge. Thanks all.
