Just got my boat back from the dealer, I had them replace the impeller in my 2001 Mercury 225 EFI. They said that my pee-er was cloged and they cleaned it. I took it out on the lake and the water presure gauge went to about 25 lbs which is way more than usual. Now the gauge is stuck at about 15 lbs. Help please.

Been there, done that. That durned green goop algae sorta plugs things up.

If you pull the hose off the back of the gauge and the gauge still sits at 15 lbs, it's shot. If it drops, a little air on that line should blow the goop back into the block where it'll wash out next time you run it.

After you pressurize that line, open the cowl and make sure you didn't blow the other end of it off it's barb. You could flood the electronics and cause some serious headaches.

hope it helps
