Water pump availability?

I finished putting my FD-12 back together at the weekend and it looks great, like a brand new motor or maybe better!<br />But there were a couple of things I'd still like to improve in future, one of which is the water pump. I replaced the impeller, the base plate was good so I left that, but the pump housing was the original metal type and had some corrosion internally. I don't think it's enough to seriously affect the pumps operation, just a bit of pitting, but it may result in premature wear of the impeller.<br />I would have replaced it but I couldn't find a repair kit that included this part, does anyone know if such a thing is available, original OMC or aftermarket?<br />BTW I'm still looking for a replacement clutch dog for this motor, I emailed twincityoutboards.com a couple of times as suggested here but received no reply, anyone know where else I'd be likely to find one?

Petrolhead - I noticed you can get it here, pn 382468. They might be able to help with the clutch dog as well.

Thanx Paul, I'd been to that site before looking for something else, but hadn't noticed the pump kits. Do you know what the kit includes? I can't see anywhere it says the housing comes with it, although from the price I'd assume it does, and is it the original style, or the replacement one that Middleground mentions? <br />I'm going to run my motor this season with the original pump and new impeller and see how it goes, if it doesn't seem very efficient or if I notice excessive impeller wear I'll change it.<br />I have a couple more questions, but so as not to confuse things I'll start another thread!

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your questions for certain. I'm pretty certain that those kits include the housing though. Best to email and ask.
