Water pump replacement how too?

Hi , I have a 1977 Johnson 85 hp V-4 -----can anyone tell me how to find the breakdown pic and the instructions how to replace it on my motor?--I cant get PDF files to work on my computer, so I need to get it another way--Also, am I correct to assume that the water comes out through the prop on this motor?--Thank you all very much, Dave

You can look at the lower unit parts breakdown on BRP Evinrude website and, yers, most of the cooling water exits thru the prop hub.

Couldnt you just answer the Question or just pass it by?--I see on other threads some members are kind to show a pic and a short comment-- There is no need to be Hostel ?--I do know how to use Google, there were many different sites and some were not showing anything that I was searching for!--This link you sent me to, requires a password, and that site will not let me create one--
.....Just Forget it, I will got to a different place to get the information or buy a manual!

What kind of computer do you own? I went to the site you said required a password and picked parts out of the choice bar on top and got the normal Evinrude parts lookup page. This at the very least shows you what you will need to rebuild your pump. If you have all the latest microsoft updates and service packs installed you should have no problem downloading adobe reader which is free. A computer without reader is in my opinion is worthless and you would not be able to open many of the help hints your asking for. Get a manual and follow the directions and check the FAQ. There are, lord only knows how many posts regarding water pump impellers with many hints about hidden screws etc.
Sorry but berating someone that is trying to help you won't get you very far on this site.

I want berating anyone , you need to reed what he wrote---My computer is a dell with all the service packs and updates, it did want a password from his link!--It doesn't matter anyways, I have noticed that some on this site need to learn how to speak to others who are searching for help, and not say things like (You need to learn how to use Google) I just asked a simple Question, and what I should have gotten was a simple answer!

Don't worry about it, I will order a book and not visit here anymore! Good day!
