water pump

Hey guys I've gotten some good advise and instruction from you latley. got my starter in and the lower unit oil changed, put the boat in the water and it would not pee. was told the water pump was probably gone. Is it hard to change one? and can it be done dock side with the motor up?<br />1985 90hp merc inline 6 2 stroke

John, it could be done in the water, but without experince you would be much better off with it on the trailer--Bob

Found a guy to do repair in the water. He said it is a easy repair IF YOU KNOW HOW. Thought it was best left to a professional this time since id like to be on the water this weekend for the fourth. Thanks all for your help and advise.
