Add some dish detergent to the fins of the impeller blades, oil the splines of the drive shaft, and clean out the water intake area while you have the lu down. This is also a good time to clean the exhaust and flush water or compressed air up the water line. Have the t stats been recently replaced?
Also be sure that the water line does not knock the grommet (in the diagram) on top of the impeller housing aside while lining it all back up. It will restrict water flow, giving you over heat issues on re start.
