I Have A Outboard 87 Yamaha 150 Hp Pro-v My First Boat and first time Changing The Thermostats And Water Pump Out. Turned The Prop Clock ,to Install It .Put The Lower Unit On Lined It Up. with The new Water Pump installed The Lower ran Motor For (1) Minute No Water Is Came Out Of The Spout Hole .i Stopped So That I Did Not Over Heat The Motor. But For Some Reason The Water Will Not Come Out At The Top Spout hole but large a MOUNTS OF WATER COMEING OUT LOWER UNIT.

Did you install the key in the impeller shaft?

I'm kinda new here, BUT you might a good answer on a board that's not dedicated to Force and Chrysler.
