Water pump

I need to order a water pump for a 2000 25hp 3cylinder Johnson J25TEL3SSB. What is the piece above the impeller cup on the Sierra pump kit. Some kits show them and some don't. I don't think I remember anything like that when I put the impeller in last year.

Your motor does NOT use a copper water tube.----You must install that seal.---And that seal is shown as part of the factory kit !

Careful observation on your motor would show that it only goes on in one way !
