Water Pump

I have recently purchased a 1980 or 81 johnson 115. I a reasonably sure the motor is in good shape but what could I do to verify. such as water pump condition?? What is the recomendation for reasonably priced parts source??

Just obtaining motor, wouldnt you feel best servicing the motor and not have to worry about it?

The last time I took my boat to a boat dealer to "check it out", I ended up with a 700 dollar bill. So I think I will try it myself.

Desert Auto,<br /><br />Get an OEM factory manual, drop lower unit and change impeller. Not that bad a job, you can search within this site and find plenty of good info. Including some of my old posts on what not to do on that same engine.
