Would it be worth my while to install a water separator in my fuel line? I have a 2000 40hp Mercury. Thanks

Absolutely. They filter almost all of the crud/water before it reaches your engine's fuel system and saves a lot of trouble down the road. For a modest investment, they provide a great return.

Thanks. West Marine has one that you mount and it takes spin on style filters that look like car oil filters. It is only $35.00. Any tips on mounting one on a 16 foot Fisher Avenger Sport? Thanks

Not familiar with that particular boat, but find a spot on transom (or nearby) that is lower than the motor, and higher than the fuel tank. Use good fittings and thread sealant, all stainless clamps and quality fuel line and you should have lots of worry-free fuel delivery.
