then realize you are accepting it as is, is the boat worth at least having a survey done on it?

the guy is asking 6000 for the boat, he has the complete service record from the time the boat was bought, how he still owes money on it is beyond me. right now the river is still 12 feet above flood stage here, more rain in the forecast, very nice boat for the price, dont want to miss out on another good buy

I wouldn't let a bad gauge keep me from buying it, I don't think I've ever owned a boat that didn't have some issue when I got it. The thing is and was that I knew exactly what the issues were and knew I could take care of them. You still should have someone check this thing out, motor compression/leak down test, hull integrity, blah blah blah. There are buttload of good deals out there right now, this may be one too, you just want to be sure.
