water temp gauge

thanks for the reply. there is a sensor lacated on both head covers.If my install was not correct do I need to install the new sensor in the available threaded port on the cover? Do you know if the sensor comes with the appropriate wire that needs to be run to the gauge? The gauge is a teleflex product?
