Hmmm. More odd questions.
I have a 1989 Johnson 25hp manual start, etc.
I need to water test it. What kind of water tank do I need?? Would a 50 Gal drum be okay?? Would that be enough water to keep the engine cool?? Can't put it in the big water right now cause the trailer is broke.

Re: Water testing

Yes that will suffice. I use a regular garbage can and I keep the water running constantly, it makes for a wet mess though. You can always use flusher muffs though.

Re: Water testing

Keep the rpms on the low side and keep it in neutral. If in gear and with a few rpms it will blow all the water out in a heartbeat.

Re: Water testing

Got it. Thank you. I didn't know if a 55 gal drum would be enough but I'll try that.
