Water tube brass or copper??

I have a bent up water tube, just checking if I can soldier a piece to it? If it is copper ot brass?

It should be copper. Be sure to measure the original length of the water tube. Clean copper pipe with emery cloth to brighten surfaces before soldering. Use solder flux. Final repaired tube should be same length as original.

You can also make up that shortage using the extension parts that come bundled with water pump kit 5001595.

They are spacer 0338636, spacer 0338667, and grommet 0338601.

338636 gives you about 1.5" and 3386667 gives you about 4".

thanks again. ;) Looked up the spacer. mite work, but will soldier on the extra leight. ;) looks like it will provide a better seal. will update.

Use a copper nipple at the soldered joint, and make it the correct length.
