I have a 1967 Mercury Thunderbolt 500. I'm trying to find a replacement guide tube and seal for the water pump. Unfortunately, the water pump kit I received didn't include these parts and I've been unsuccessful in finding any. Does anyone know of a product that would work for a homemade guide tube? I assume it has to withstand heat as it's near the exhaust tube.
Any suggestions on a suitable seal? The diagram in my repair manual shows one that fits into the water pump assembly and into which the guide tube is inserted.
