How often do you all change the W/P impeller in the outdrive? It is a Merc 888/mc1 and I have been doing it every other year but the boat does not get used much, in fact last year the only time it was run was on muffs. This year would be the normal year to change it but I was wondering if I could get more use out of it. The impellers normally look fine when I change them but just never wanted to take the chance. I may use this boat 3 to 4 times a year at best. What are your thought on this please?

Those impellers have more of a problem taking a "set" from sitting under normal use or no use 2 years is recommended
The GEN II impellers have a more "looser fit" and can go a much longer

It is not just hours running that ruin them. Over time they take the set and can start to crack. For the price it is not worth skipping.

That's what I was figuring but I was just thought I would ask. It's not a hard thing to do, just a little mundane every other year when I don't use the boat that much. I have thought about just selling it due to the fact of not using it as much as I spend time working on it. LOL
Thanks for your input guys.
