Needing to remove and replace both water tubes on my 77 Johnson 115. Any ideas or advice to doing this job. The lower section is off and most of the bolts are out of the middle section. I am wanting (if possible) to just remove the mid-section rather than pull the power head... Thanks for your input...

Sorry, but you have only begun. Refer to the exploded view at the parts catalog at http://shop.evinrude.com/ You have to not only remove the powerhead, but also remove the whole midsection from the mounts, then you can remove the powerhead adapters. The water tubes are flanged into the top of the inner exhaust tube. Are you sure you have to take them out?

LOL... Not too sure now, but looks like I have to.. The end on one of the tubes that slides into the water pump is mangled pretty badly and I can't get into there to cut the end off and braze a new piece onto it... I wish I had another alternative, but it's not looking likely... :(
