I am taking up something besides boating.
EATING out.
All my fun places and people are fast disappearing.

If I NEVER saw Rain/Snow/High Humidity(more than 25-30%) the rest of My Life, I would be Ecstatic. Last Year, it rained every ******** Day from late May till Oct, and this year is shaping up the same Effin Way

I’m trying to convince my adult son to get OUT of New York, the weather is nice maybe half of the year. Southwest here I come! Sick of winter, mildew, cars rusting and wood rotting…then there’s the taxes, energy costs, the illness of NYC infecting the suburbs and the politicians…it’s only people holding me here…

The older i get the less I like winter even as mild as it is here in TN otherwise we got a boat and a pool so I'm good.

Side note my half million dollar home only gets charged 1400 a year in proprty taxes and no state income tax so prob stay here till im dead. My folks have THREE million dollar homes in seattle and I don't even want to know what they pay.....

Ohh yes we do! And real estate tax…how’s this sound…in suburban Long Island NY where I live, a small house in my neighborhood (Cape Cod, 1/4 acre) is selling for $750-800K, taxes on that house…$13,000. Looked a a few houses for my son & daughter in law, bottom of market here is $650. Old house needs work. Highest electric costs because we are still paying off a nuclear power plant that was built & never used! Political forces pushed it and then 15 years later they figure out ahhh you can’t evacuate Long Island DUH! So when my son decides he’s had it; we’re GONE!

Taxes in Minnesota are sky high, Where I live there is no food delivery, I have to drive 30-40 minutes to get to a franchise restaurant, the weather sucks 5 months out of the year but we love it here.
