Were out on a shake down cruse and decided to stop at the marina and grab some lunch. As we were leaving the marina we spot a friend of ours pontoon boat pulling into the gas dock. On board were our friends sister and a friend of theirs, neither of whom I had ever seen operating a boat before. They are more like full time passengers. We wave and head back out on the lake. About a half an hour later my cell phone rings, its my friend, (owner of the pontoon boat) she tells me the girls called, the pontoon stalled and they are somewhere between the marina and her dock, a distance of about 5 miles. So my buddy and I motor back towards the marina looking for them. Then head from the marina back towards our friends dock continuing our search. We find them dead in the water about 4 miles from the marina. Come to find out they had put straight gasoline in the tank when they filled up. Got the nobody told us look when I questioned them about the 2 stroke oil. We throw them a line and instruct them on how to secure it. As we get ready for the tow in I tell them make sure your ready on the breaks
I dont want you ramming us when we stop. As I turn around and start forward my buddy bust out laughing
passes some adult beverage through his nose and says
.their back there looking for the brakes. Took them a couple seconds to catch on. They didnt find it as amusing as my buddy and I did.
