We Lost one of our pets Last Nite

Yesterday our 14 year old Chow/Sheapard passed away. Lincs will be missed, he was, although the smaller, the Leader of the group. Our family will forever miss him.

As a person who has never had a child live with my wife and I, I have to disagree with the fact that a dog is a dog, my children, due to the courts ended living with my spouse, had little access to them, but my dogs, who always were there, they always understood, and they always cared without any condition were my children..

My dogs, were in fact my babies, they were punished, and they were praise, and they laid their heads on my shoulder when I was sick..

Sorry for your loss, it is difficult to loose our animal, they are so much a part of who we are, who we become and have taught me a bunch. Rest in Peace, and cross the Rainbow Bridge, there are friends waiting for you on the other side..

So sorry for your loss, I fully understand your feelings right now, I have had and still have cats and dogs all my life and they do become family members, they are babies. May yours RIP.

I have always cried when I had to hold a few pets as they were put to sleep or found that they were deceased.It hurts just as much as any friends or families death to me.14 years is is alot of joy.Good Dog

I have lost dogs and cats that were long time companions and I have wept bitterly over their loss.

I have tried to imagine what it would be like to lose a child. . .one of my blood. My brain refuses to contemplate the idea and just shuts out the thought.

My great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Fulton Braine, lost her young sister to tuberculosis in 1853 and two of her five children to yellow fever in the 1870s. Having only three out of five survive to adulthood was fairly common in those days, yet reading her letters of the events would tear your heart out.

I respect anyone's grief at losing a long time faithful companion, but please don't compare that loss to the loss of a child.

FF, you have my condolences. Its hard on us and we miss them when they're gone. I lost my German Shepard, Jenny, that had been with us for 13 years this past Monday.

years ago i took in a stray cat.he was with me thru a broken back,a heart attack,and a divorce.he was always there when friends and family were'nt.he truly was my best friend.i now have him tattoed on my shoulder.he won't be forgotten.
