weak vaccum

so I took my 1997 175 FAST STRIKE to the shop because it was dying out when put in gear...it would idle fine and run over 1500 rpm fine....but it didn't like to stay running at low idle speed in gear. shop did a link and sync and checked a bunch of stuff out...compression is great...carbs are great..... but he said it looks like 2 cylinders has less vaccum than the other when it comes to pulling fuel through the carb.... he says there nothing you can do about it...for various reasons......

is there NOTHING that can be done(outside of a rebuild with a new bore and new pistons and new rings....)

Well i would of thought stuck closed reeds and also crank seals at least as a challenge to that statement
