Weather SUCKS this year.....

Here in West Virginia we have been hit day after day with rain and wind it seems almost every day of the week for several weeks running now. We get the occasional dry day but our local lakes are muddy, high, and getting the grass under control and working on my boat and trailor has been a real pain so far. We seem to be in a pattern that most likely will see us have no spring and go straight into summer. We had hoped to have taken the boat out at least twice now but have not been able to do any boating yet. Last year we could not use the boat until summer because of my surgery, so I was looking forward to spring fishing this year. So far, no luck. Supposed to go to Stonewall Jackson Lake on the 13th for a Crappie tournament...our first with our own boat. Hoping for dry weather but not looking good so far. Raining even as I write this! Have you folks noticed the same lousy weather this year?? Been a lot of damage too, mostly roofs, siding, and trees.

Here in Houston, too. No rain, but 20 mph winds every day, and from different directions. Lake is chopped up, and it is difficult to launch and land your boat with all the waves. And no rain for something like 90 days, so the lake is very low. We are still boating, but we cannot do anything fun like wakeboarding, and some days, it is just too windy to even launch the boat.

It is a La Nina year. For Texas, that means lots of dry wind, no rain, and then a crapload of hurricanes at the end of the summer and into the fall. Which floods us out, to make up for no rain all year.

JSGOLD, love Stonewall Jackson lake ... spent a long weekend there, had a great time watching deer and catching crappie. I caught more crappie there that weekend than I have in years!

I catch plenty of crap from my wife every night. Last thing I want to do is catch more when out on the water.

Sucks here in Wisconsin as well. Rainy as a b.... and windy too. Bad fishing and boating weather.

It has a lot of crappie and some darn good bass as well. My wife caught her largest bass ever last year (5.5lb) reeling in a perch. Some decent channel cats too. We enjoy fishing there in the early warm months. Sad to say, at 100 miles one way we won't be making but maybe one other trip this year, unless things change gas wise. We have some good local lakes we enjoy but for the shear qty of crappie Stonewall is hard to beat. And we know there are bass there in the 10lb range. Hope the weather gets better so we have a decent chance, but we will see. Can't rain forever! (Or CAN it)???

Sucks here in Iowa as well. 15-35 mph wind and mid-40 degree daytime temps. Not worth taking the boat out.

On the plus side, we haven't had any 3/4 mile wide, 35 mile long, 200 mph tornadoes and no 4-6 inch per day rain on an already flooded river basin. Also got a sixer of Modelo Especial and a jug of scotch (currently in great peril of depletion), no rain and sunshine (local temp 48). How bad could it be?

I don't get it, I have lived in Colorado for 25 years now and I don't remember this much wind, The weather forecast looks great though but don't say too much don't want to jynx it!!

Here in Nebraska it just sucks this year..We usually have nicer weather in January than we did this spring..Looks like this week we might have a few days that actually top 70..Was like 32 degrees last night...I HAVE HAD ENOUGH...

Weather definatly sucks everywhere.. North Mississippi here. Seems like if it isn't raining then there's a tornado warning. Luckily no touchdowns in this area but had some family have a house torn from around them by one last week in central MS.. Only thing left was the bathroom they were in. Now all the flooding from the Mississippi river half a county away. Starting to think I need to park the boat in the front yard just incase!

We had deadly tornadoes a few weeks ago.They were F2s mostly I believe,not like the ones that hit Alabama but they were everywhere.I think they said the most ever in one day in our state.The radar compilation of the twisters paths that day looks like a bear clawed 1/2the state from S.C. to Va. still alot of cleanup going on.Im not looking forward to Hurricane season.We had a mild one or last few yrs.

Hard to complain with all the flooding going on in the middle of the country, but the weather here definitely sucks (rain) as well. Fortunately I live on the side of a hill so I am pretty well unaffected. But I boat on a river so strong currents and debris have kept me out of the water and forget about fishing.
