we live in upstate n.y. our boat is still covered and winterized. been to crappy to work on it.

In Rochester we broke the 1929 April rainfall record.

So far it looks to keep up the rain....our 10 day forecast now shows 30-60% chance of rain every day until the 15th at the area we will be fishing at so I guess we better pack some towels and rain gear. We may still get lucky and have a dry day but the chance of rain is so great I see no way we will have decent water. So much for spring!!!

It has not been any better to the West of you. I have have the boat out 2 times and it was 30 to 40 MPH winds all day long and the water is still bone chilling to even step into. Oh I almost forgot the best part the lakes look like chocolate pudding from tha rain. One of the big lake is 18 feet abouve the summer pool level.

As a native West Virginian myself, my parents were around when the floods hit in 1937. I've seen photos of the devistation from the floods on the Ohio river can cause. You guys take care.......and be safe! It will get better.

Unfortunately it looks like the flood of 2011 is going to break the records set in 1937 along much of the Ohio and Mississippi.

In Rochester we broke the 1929 April rainfall record.

Illinois also broke it's all time rainfall record for April.

Back in '37 there wasn't a flood wall in Parkersburg, WV. Th'em folks have one now... A biggun'!!!!!

You guys in WV live in most wild......wonderful.......place on earth....IMO

i scraped ICE off my windshield this morning to drive to work.

Ice on a winshiedl in May? Hmmmm, I have a little of than in January but that's about it....

A little windy here too, but been fishing since February....we have some cold weather here, but snow is really non exixtent. If it does snow it's gone in a day or two. Thinking about moving a bit farther south....

Scooper thats so funny! Here in E.Washington we've been rained on since Feb. No spring but Redoing my boats structure. Hope the crappie are ready when I'm ready to launch. i.boats sure helps the cabin fever.

We have only been out ONCE so far still this year....dropped by our favorite lake Sunday and was shocked to see 15-16 boats out in muddy lake, but, it was starting to show improvement and was told fish were biting. So we thought maybe we would go there in a few days, finally. Figures though that area got hit again twice in the last 48 hours and may be lousy when we do go. We are at least supposed to have good weather Sunday. Monday, and Tuesday, and Saturday may be hit or miss. Water condition just may suck a bit. At least we can try our new to us 8HP Evinrude kicker.....unless something else happens. So far we have had to replace roof, have lost the battle with grass and weeds, and have lost almost all of spring. Of course it could be worse.....but it still SUCKS.:facepalm:

Last year at this time the water was almost 80 degrees and we were out playin' in it..... this year, havent even touched the boat yet. Reporting live, frustrated in Wisconsin.

I got out for the 1st time this year! Great day! 75 degrees, clear sky's, no boats. I guess everyone was at work! I was on the lookout for floating debris, but did not see anything all day. The lake was like glass. It was nice to squeeze in a shake down run before the big holiday weekend. All systems good! I hope everyones weather improves!

I finally got my boat out of storage. Now I just look at it in passing. Still cold and windy. Waited out a long winter for this. Finally started mowing lawns mid last week. One of two things will happen. It will either stay cold all summer, or, we'll go straight to the mid 80's + and it will stay there. Another member frustrated in Wisconsin.....

Looks better now...less rain in forecast and we have 3-4 days of sunny days coming up so that is nice. The down side is that we are now looking at 90 degree plus days and milky local lakes. So long spring.... Will make fishing a pain but at least we can boat now...
