Web hosting?

I built a web site and now I don't know what to do with it. I used a Trellix program that came with my PC (win98 second edition). Now I need to publish it. I only need 25megabites. Any one want to walk me thought the name registration and hosting? Good deals?

Mine is at http://freeservers.com/ for free. But anytime you click anything, a popup pollutes the screen. I guess they have to make their money somehow.<br /><br />I tried using it to host my avatar, but free hosts are blocked. For that I used http://myfishingpictures.com/ which is also free.

25 Megs??? Wow, that's some webpage/website. Who''s your ISP. Usually, your ISP gives you storage space for your own webpage.

I use www.livehost.net for my website. Good to deal with and they keep you informed about what is happening re: faults/downtime etc.

Thanks folks. How long did you have to wait after you got your address and hosting site before you could work with it. Mine says it has to (do something) to make the two synchronize before I can work on it. Something like 72 hr’s.

Replicating your domain name worldwide only takes a short while but the routine runs once every 24 hours.<br /><br />Alterations or new regs. are normally promised within this time provided your ISP manages. Else they may take longer.

Have my site built on my PC. Just waiting on the go ahead and then there will be a www.supernova19.com for all us Super Nova owners and anyone else who cares.<br />By the way U_U there is a way to change your name and keep your post count. LubeDude did it a couple times in one day. Go to DSC, they will tell you.

I use www.poweb.com and www.hostmysite.com I've been happy with both.

I use crystaltech for commercial or high traffic sites. I doo alot of coldfusion and database work also. VERY good service and AMAZING uptimes. (no I don't work there.)

f_ing....<br /><br />I have 2 sites that I set up and use. They are both hosted on IVCHOSTING.COM. The cost is 39.95 per year and that included registering the domain name.<br /><br />There are other options out there. One thing I use to do, but I do not remember the site, was to host just the domain name (www.yourname.com) and have it point to your isp, (http://home.comcast.net/~your_user_name/)<br />That use to cost me 12.00 per year.<br /><br />With IVC you also get 30 e-mail accounts.
