Re: Week 3 of the NFL

Loving my Ravens being undefeated, I only wish we could play the Steelers now, we have to wait till November for our first game with them.

Well, considering they aren't your Ravens, they are Cleveland's Browns... Undefeated? Not a chance.
As far as facing the Steelers now, yep, this is when you would want to play them. Not when they are healthy on defense and can rattle your QB.
May the best team win in November and December.

Forget week 3, I just looked at the schedule for week 4 and there are going to be some awesome matchups.
Green Bay/Minnesota
Jets/Saints
Baltimore/New England
Heck, even Cincinnati/Cleveland should be an exciting game!!

Boooohooooo WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA wipe your tears. You sound just like the whiners who cry about my beloved Colts going to Indy.Get over it.
Undefeated, they are so far, where did I ever say they would go undefeated????
So you are making the excuse that one defensive player holds the entire Steelers team together?

We'll whoop their rears when we play them, FACT. :D

skargo, show some class and intelligence, please.

You first ;)

You started it with the Browns crack. SO by your intelligent reasoning, the Colts are still Baltimores, and the Rams are still LA's and the Cardinals are still St Louis', and the Raiders are still LA's, etc etc etc???

Don't try and dish it out if you can't take it, which is obviously the case here.

I watched the end of the Lion's win. It was cool to see the crowd whoopin' it up. The camera caught tears in the eyes of some fans. Love a diehard football fan!

Yeah, that was like the Superbowl for Lions fans. Especially since the Lions have such a brutal schedule for the rest of the year.

Too bad the game was blacked out in SE Michigan.

my Steelers, well, they are missing Palomalu something fierce!

You are on the Money there, Just to add, Someone needs to have a Sitdown with Reed the kicker and explain his role on this team, I'm not sure he's focused!

Smallest crowd in over a decade - barely 40,000. But the best 40,000 they got!!!!:)

I sure don't know the direction the Buc's are going , but I dont agree with their coaching or quarterbacking decisions....
I have followed this team since '76, when I had season tickets for the first 11 yrs. I moved away and still supported them. All that was eventually paid for with the SuperBowl win over Oakland in '04.
Lately, however, I find it painful to watch them. If anyone thinks they had an iota of a chance to beat the Giants, I would want to know what they had been smoking....
Leftwich does nothing for this team......

I just moved here from California, was a lone Raida' fan amongst a sea of red! lol
I think that win was Grudens finest moment tho...

I agree on Leftwich...even tho he has a spleen

Well at least the Bucs are now putting in Josh Johnson, he did some good things in the preseason (I know, I know, preseason doesn't count) and seems pretty smart. Why did we waste a first round draft pick on a qb with under 60% completion percentage in college when Johnson threw 23 touchdowns and one pick in his final season at San Diego? He should have been holding the reins from the beginning of the season, not Leftwich. Leftwich would make a decent pitcher though, he's got the wind-up and the release.

"You first" That's your comeback? Good one! How long did it take you to come up with that? ;)

You are exactly right, the Colts are still Baltimore's team. And the way you all CRIED when they moved out (in the middle of the night!) should make you ashamed to steal another city's team away from them. But you have no shame, and are happy with your team. Good for you. But they are not the best team in the league, and time will prove that.

BTW, the Raiders are Oakland's, cause that's where they started.

I can take anything you can dish out, and I have stultified you twice now. Do you really want to go for more? Or should we just wait until the Steelers and Ravens actually play their games?

Coming from someone who once suggested to visit Detroit to laugh at people less fortunate...

I have to agree with skargo you sure can dish it out but obviously can't take it:eek:

Speaking of Detroit...HOW 'BOUT THEM LIONS:D:D

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who enjoyed watching the diehards(myself incuded) celebrate a big win(only one win but a big one:p) Thanks for noticing and I hope your teams never hit rock bottom quite as low as we did LOL.

Bruce- I'm a little confused myself but I decided not to overthink it and just be glad they are resurging and have a good quarterback:)

Ya'll gonna get this lock real soon. Teams moved based on business needs and there's nothing you and I could do about it so there is no reason to argue about it. The Colts aren't Baltimore's team or Indianapolis's team. They're the Irsay's team and that is it.

Amen to that, exactly my sentiments, I laugh at the people around here who STILL lament the day the Irsay's snuck out with the Colts.
It's all business, maybe if Cleveland would have treated Art Model correctly, like Baltimore did, they'd have their original team. They have nothing to cry about, at least they got to keep their history.

I agree, no need to argue about it, I am enjoying football immensely this year, and will continue to do so, despite the apparent bitterness exhibited by some. :D

The word out of the Pittsburgh camp is that Limas Sweed better quite dropping catchable balls or he will be riding the bench, or in the unemployment line.

In Detroit they're saying that Stafford had to take a little off his throws to make the ball more "catchable"...give me a break...if you paid me 7 figures to catch a football I wouldn't be whining about people throwing it too hard:D

These are the reasons I enjoy being a fan of publicly owned team.......no worries about moving the team. Granted this system does not/ would not work everywhere.......

Week 3 was crazy......I expect the same for week 4......capped with the Mon night game! Hopefully it will live up to the hype......with a GB win obviously :)
