Re: Week 6 of the NFL

Right now, the Saints probably are the best team in the NFL, but that can change in a heartbeat.

A few weeks ago, I commented on how the Saints never seem to put together a great offense and defense at the same time. Now they have. Sharper has lit the defense on fire and is Brees' equivalent in leadership, on the D.

Fujita might be out this week though, and that's not good. We shall see who fills his shoes and how well he does!

Shane, if it makes you feel any better, trust me when I tell you that those of us in the NOLA know all about the baghead thing! Also, I lived in Fla. in the late 70s, when the Bucs were a new team, and we used to say that any half rate college team could beat them. They got to be pretty good much later on and are now in a slump again. That's the way the football rolls!

BTW, y'all, if the Saints win a SB, Ima go boating on Bourbon Street, 'cause I guarantee that the beer will be deep enough on the streets of the quarter to do so!

At this level, winning is everything. 6-0, I'm going to enjoy it. Go Vikes!!:p
Ravens got their chance, couldn't do it.:(

The Ravens sure had their chance. The sad thing is, they never should have got that close. The Vikes dominated the game until the defense rolled over in the 4th qtr. The offense got conservative too. Brett's looking good, but he has a good offensive line and a guy named Rice that he needs to thank. Was only able to listen to it on satelite radio on our way back from the Gulf of AL. But, it's still a win. Enjoy it while we can.... Playing the Steelers next will make it interesting....

By the fouth quarter they had lost Winfield, and Sapp in the secordary, Down to their numbers 2,4,5 corners.

I think Big Ben is going to be running for his life.:D

Ben doesn't run for his life, he runs to make bigger plays! :)

Now that you mentioned it, I do remember Winfield leaving. Didn't know about the 2,4,5 corner thing. Helps take the sting out of the Vikings trying to blow it in the 4th...

Ben doesn't run, period. He leans and gravity does the rest. He may not want to hold the ball too long this week against the purple defense I saw last week...

True, when you have two guys playing in open violation of the NFL's drug testing policy, it can make your defense better. We'll see on Sunday.

I sure wish Skargo was still around, because...

The Steelers won again and the Ravens lost again! (And the bonus is that the Stillers beat the bogus Browns and the Bungles lost!) All is Good!
ZCongrats to your Steelers, I'm actually afraid for the Raven's playoff hopes. Our secondary is terrible!:(
