A very poor start Monday Night giving up the ball twice in the first 5 minutes in the Dallas red zone which made things a little uncomfortable in the Angus household!! All better by halftime.
Defense sidelined a fifth QB in seven games. Offense overcame and shined. That Dez dude on the Cowboys is quite an athlete and will be someone to reckon with in the future. Kitna has his hands full wiping off the cobwebs.
Bye week on holloween.
Both NY teams have 5 wins and lead their conferences as of today. Football is alive in NY!!!

Re: Week 7 of the NFL

Lovie needs to be fired.

On a positive note, I am still on track for my pre-season 6-10 prediction. Shoulda kept Orton and picked up some good offensive linemen instead.

Absolutely loved the Broncos game! Wish Cable would have kept Campbell in the game, would have loved seeing the scoring record broken against the Donkeys!!

Re: Week 7 of the NFL

Romo is out for 6 - 8 weeks. Kitna hasn't started a game since '08. He hasn't won a game since '07. Could be a long rest of the season for the Cowboys if Kitna doesn't step up.

Brett has a couple of fractures in his ankle. They say they're going day by day whether he will play Sunday. If Childress has any sense at all he would bench Brett this Sunday and give Jackson the start. Hopefully, Childress doesn't let Brett make the decision like what's happened in past years.

Childress was also fined $35k for basically saying after the game, it was the worst officiating he's ever seen. It was bad and potetially cost the Vikes a win since points were taken off the board. The NFL did apologze to the Vikes stating they blew the "should have been" touchdown call. Like that really matters now. The NFL shouldn't have said anything. All it does is get people more riled up...

It appears there have been alot of bad officiating this year no matter who's playing...

On a better note, Boise State is playing tonite at home. I love that blue field!

Re: Week 7 of the NFL

I hate the Boise Blue field! LA Tech made a game of it in the first 20 minutes, then the wheels started to fall off ... Boise had a couple of good breaks.

Steelers stole one ... ruling was what the call had to be, glad it went in my favor and not the other way, but there was enough doubt as to the recovery (one angle it looked like a Steeler arm might have been around the ball in the endzone, but probably was Miami ball ... just not conclusive).

Interesting week. Did well with my picks, 11-3, but the 3 were all high point values in the Pick-em' contest! GRRRR!

I'm ready to rebuild.

My money is on Brett starting this week. He won't finish, but he'll start.

I'm with captmello. He'll start the game to keep the streak going but probably wont make it thru the 1st half, if even the 1st quarter. He didn't practice again today....

Watched the Giants game before I left for Japan. Not impressed with the start they had but very impressed with the recovery from it.

The Bills got screwed. Forward progress had clearly been stopped. It doesn't really matter much for the Bills. It's the difference between a 1-15 season or a 0-16.

Lee was a fun special teams kick returner to watch. Lee and I graduated the same year from college, but the Giants selected him ;). I think he was on the team for the first and second superbowl win. Tell him I said "hi" from Sect. 130 row 19. :)

Enjoy!

Yep, he has the 2 rings ... traded to the Browns in 90. Pastor and motivational speaker now. I will tell him! ;)

Re: Week 7 of the NFL

Not that anybody cares, but, Brett hasn't practiced all week. Childress says he's going to make a game day decision. If he hasn't already made a decision(who really knows), I hope he has big enough nads to bench Brett and start Jackson. And I'm not a Jackson fan. But, I'd still rather see a healthy Jackson than Brett hobbling around on the field...........

Romo rarely has been consistent in any game. Ok, well he does consistently turn the ball over. Roma is no and never will be a Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway etc quality QB. You know he is going to screw up. The worst example is when he fumbled the hold for the field goal kicker. Then you have the Coach puppet to the Owner. The cast of penalty screw ups on offense and defense.
One of the highest paid teams at that. 1-5. Just sad.

Re: Week 7 of the NFL

The Saints just aren't the team that they were last year, so I think the Steelers will take a win home this weekend.

We are developing a couple of young players, though. We have a lot of players out hurt and some of the new guys are getting more time on the field than they otherwise would have. If we can get some of the veterans back soon, we might end up finishing strong.

We shall see.

Hmmmmmmmm ... how do you go from being beaten by the Browns to beating the Steelers?

I'LL BE DANGED!

We did get a couple of key players back on the field and our D was TOUGH, but I'm still pleasantly surprised.

Who knows, maybe a "2 Dat" isn't such a crazy udea, after all.
