Weight of Merc 200?

Would anyone know the weight of a 1995 Merc 200 HP-XRI, 2.5 litre, fuel injected outboard?
I am seriously considering repowering, and comparing present weight to possible future outboard weight would be very helpfull. Hopefully fuel consumption would be much better with new motor. Thanx.

Depends what kind of outboard you are looking to go to. Get the serial number and look it up with the sticky. It should be able to tell you the weight. I have been seriously considering going up from my 89 150 BM to a 150 or 200 E-tec HO, even though black runs through my veins.

Thanx. I came up with 416 lbs for my old motor.
I priced new opti (505 lbs) and am awaiting price on E tec (524 lbs).
I am going up from 200 horse to 250 horse.
