I don't know how accurate that info is, and I don't know much about boat lifts so I can't tell you what you'd get away with. Also, any published weight for your boat would be a dry weight and not include fluids, cargo, etc.
You can get the weight of your boat by going to a truck scale (like at a lot of landfill sites) and they can tell you how much your truck weights (you have to get weighed with and without the boat). For a boat lift you probably want a "wet weight" anyway, so this would be what I'd do if you need to be sure. This is actually a good thing to do anyway with an older boat, because if the weight seems way off from what it should be, it might mean water under the floor.
