Just wanted to say welcome back as I see we are able to post threads again. While I am at it let me make a plea to everyone to try and be calm about the changes to the web site. I have been a member through the last two major upgrades and I know there is likely a ton of complaining to come. Mod's, I do not envy you for the next month or two!!

One big plus - the new site works a lot better on a phone now. Still not as good as some forums that switch to a mobile mode, but 20x better than it was before

It will be a work in progress, guys. It was to take 10 days for the switch over, but IT and iboats stepped up to make it happen sooner. Please be patient and let us know nicely, please, if things aren't working properly. Everyone at iboats knows a forum is only as good as it's members, and we have the best! Thanks scipper77 and everyone else. It's still going to be a work of art inprogress to get the iboats ship up and running smoothly once again but eventually just like boat maintenance, the forums will become seaworthy once again. Just hang tough for now as the waters will be rough for right now to navigate through with possible delays involved.

Thanks for the positive suggestions guys. BTW, whatever it is that you don't like, we are probably experiencing as well. With that said, iboats is working very hard with us to identify and fix problems. We'll try and update you all, but rest assured we have been noting things for a couple of months as we were working on a test site to identify stuff. Y'all should've seen it before

It's just very hard to read. On the main forums page, the lettering is a sky colored baby blue. There just isn't any contrast.

If you go into your settings - show signatures was turned off for me. Must have been a setting that got changed during the upgrade

I agree with some of the contrast concern. Lines would be nice as well.

It's funny someone said it's easier to use on a phone... My phone doesn't like it at all. The delay from when i type to when it shows up is much better, that was a huge complaint of mine with the last site. However now I have to scroll left to right to read posts, whereas before it would automatically resize and text wrap. In hoping this is just a work in progress. Also clickables don't work worth a damn for me right now. For instance if I click in this text box to edit a typo, it puts the cursor way off somewhere else. I have no doubt these will work out, just have to be patient for a bit.

only took a moment to realize it no longer says "post a reply" now it says at the bottom "write something"? it's different.

looks very plain, and as has been said is difficult to read. web sites should have an "interesting" look as this one used to.
so why the change? new ownership or just an "improvement"?

IE/win 8 will not open pics. Chrome works, but the fonts is poor.

I really like the changes so far. Of course navigation is next to impossible and I have to scroll left and right on my phone but I am assuming this will all get worked out.
