War of 1812 Privateer visiting the Academy today. Wild rigging and the construction below is amazing. Only wish I had some free time to get underway too! The vessel is a replica Baltimore Clipper named LYNX. Weather forced a layover. Sailing New York Harbor tonight but my son has a tournament I am committed to attend. Family first, but sure would like to set sail.

Very cool

We have the 3 masted tall ship "American Pride" out here on the west coast. I sailed on her to Catalina one time. These ships are pretty awesome.

I believe Duluth is supposed to get a bunch of tall ships again this year. Something you don't see very often up here. Pretty cool to go see them via boat.......

Crewman estimated the yearly (9 months) operating and maintenance costs at appx $200K. Deep pockets required.
