I have an aluminum 16 foot 1989 SeaNymph Fisherman and when tracing down a leak I came across an anomaly I don't understand.
The picture shows the area underneath the livewell, which is just forward of the bulkhead that supports the step from the main deck up to the bow deck. In the picture, I have removed the bow deck and the livewell to get to the bottom of the forward bilge.
I noticed some of the longitudinal struts on the bottom of the boat are welded and some are not, does anybody know the reason for this? Would there be a problem or benefit to welding these?
