Just completed registering my 'new' 1997 Four Winns 278 Vista. There was a bank lien to pay off, and a few anxious days spent waiting for the release from the bank. Final payment to the seller was handed over last Sunday night.
This morning I went to visit the DMV Nazi's and surprise! I was in and out in less than 1/2 hour, and 'broke out another thousand' for sales tax and fees.
This Sunday I'll be going with a friend to retrieve it and drive it around to the yard that will haul and store it for the winter.
In the meantime I've been winterizing the Chris*Craft (almost finished) that's sitting on its trailer in my driveway. That'll go up for sale next March or so. I'm having a new cockpit cover made for it as we speak. In some ways I'll be real sorry to part with it. Just a great handling boat with an excellent powerplant and drive system. Ah, well. Onward and upward!
Man, I'm beat (and broke). Pretty happy, though.
