This topic sounds like Facebook..... :facepalm:

I usually don't use the friend function on forums..I've gotten one request here and that's fine I don't mind clicking approve or whatever it is... for that matter, I don't even know what the functions are with the friend list...does it make it easier to follow the person's postings? Contact information?? If I have a question to a member on here I usually just PM them if it's not related to a topic.
If I see a subject/restore that interest me, I usually subscribe to the thread so I can keep up with it. If I have detailed questions from the original thread poster, I'll either post in the thread or contact them via PM system...isn't that kinda the same way as keeping a friend's list?

Ya know, I think he started this thread to see what kind of comments he would get. His post to start this thread is also the last post he has made here. I think he went on vacation so maybe that is why no posts recently.

Another forum I am on, uses the same software as this one, has the friends lists also, I had set up some freinds and the list displayed on the right side of your screen, you could see if they were logged on or not from there, the list is now hidden in a menu just like it is here and I do not really use it that much anymore just because it is not in view when on the forum. I do have friends set up here also, just do not check it that often.

Back in school a buddy of mine tried to put the moves on one of the little coeds. She responded with the old "Oh, let's just be friends" line. My buddy responded with "If I want a friend I'll get a dog". So there you go, SF. Just get yourself a canine buddy.
