Hi I have an older West Bend 7.5 horse and the gas line fitting on the bootom of the motor does not look familiar to me. Is this an old fitting that they don't use anymore? The gas line connector that I have is just a basic female end fitting that will not fit what is on this motor. Anybody familiar with this?

Thanks

A lot of older off brand motors are harder to find the correct parts for, so through the years, people will make their own mofications on them, to make them run.

Post a pic of your motor and if you can, post a model number.

I can't find a model 7001 listed anywhere. However, is your motorside connector merely a small pipe-like prong sticking out, with a circular groove around it? If so, whiat I do is remove the connector from the tank hose and just jam the hose on the motorside connector. Probably not very politically correct to say that, because things can get pretty sloppy if you leave the hose open and disconnected.

However, if your motor is newer than I am thinking, a standard Chrysler/Force hose end will fit. Look for it here at iboats. http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac..._category.f--searched.1--**********.952310114
