Wet Carpet Question

A few months ago I saw a thread on here about Bentley pontoons being bad about getting wet spot on the carpet while cruising. Well, lo and behold, the next time I took out my 2005 Bentley Cruise 200 it developed a wet carpet spot just in front of the driver console and in the center of the boat. Bentleys are evidently well known for having this problem. I have some ideas for a fix but rather than waste a lot of time on trial and error I want to ask you guys for advice on what to do as a fix.

Maybe underskin w/ aluminum, and seal up the best you can where the cables come through the floor under the console. I know, it's not the cheapest answer, but you'll gain a little speed and possibly some efficiency. Good luck !!!
