Crud, I missed that shot. I guess I need to pay closer attention....... "One" thing I'll never understand is, to board a foreign vessel only to be thrown in jail for who knows how long all in the name of trying save a whale. Are you kidding me?????? The one guy has a 6 and 9 year old and he puts the whales ahead of them? His priorities are all messed up........ There's a lot of screwy things on that show, but, it's still entertaining.........

Ayuh,.... I think the show is disgusting,... It's glorifying international Terrorists...

I think the network promoting it oughta be prosecuted for promoting Terrorism...

The ships they attack are engaged in a Lawful enterprise...

And someone please explain how they are any different than the Somalian pirates? Is their goal more "noble"? Does that make it acceptable to harass others?

About the only difference is, the pirates have guns... I believe so anyway. Haven't heard much out of their camp lately.

Bond-o. What I don't get is, they say both sides have the law on their side. Someone must be wrong, so why doesn't the authorities(whomever that would be) go after one or the other? Also, when the Japanese got within 200 miles of Austrailia's coast(which was supposedly illegal), why didn't the Australians go after them?

Ayuh,... IF the law were on the side doin' the Terrorism,.... They wouldn't need to be Terrorists.....

'n IF the law were on their side, I'm sure Austrailia, 'n others would be Enforcin' it...

Careful on this one guys. We can all get passionate regarding a variety of issues that this controversial show brings up. Anybody able to get proof that it was iboats? That would be cool despite the controversy.

I suppose the Japanese vessel had clearance from the Austrailian Gov't to enter their waters. Of course the show wanted you to believe they didn't and were breaking the law. To be honest, I don't agree with either one of them. I can't believe the Japanese gov't needs 1000 whales(I believe that's their quota) for reasearch. I don't agree with what Steve Irwin is doing either. I know I wouldn't be too happy if some activists were standing between me an a deer I was getting ready to shoot, just because they have a soft spot for bambi.......

It would be cool if someone could prove it was Iboats.....

Re: Whale Wars...

I bet the fishermen and the advocates are both on iboats. Little do they know they are helping each other out.

AsianFisherman: I got spun in my direct drive prop...

Freewilly: just blah blah blah...

I hate reality shows. I bet they could film me sitting on my butt everyday behind the computer not really doing much and make it seem ultra dramatic. Though sometimes they are like a Train wreck, you can't help but watch. I want to give up TV all together, they come out with an interesting show, then they cancel it to play another reality show that the copied from another network. TV is over rated!

I watched 1/2 of that show when it first came out, never again...

AsianFisherman: I got spun in my direct drive prop...

Freewilly: just blah blah blah...

More like...

Asianfisherman: I got a bunch of rope wrapped around my wheel, any suggestions on removing it?

Freewilly: oh yeah, we have a lot of experience with situations like that, just...... and then............. but before you........ make sure you........ and you'll be off and running again.

Asisnfisherman: Awesome! That's for the help, worked like a charm! Now we can go out and catch 153 more whales to fill our quota.

It's LAWFUL in some countries to kill women that cavort with men that aren't their husbands... Just cause something is legal doesn't mean it's right.

If you ever watch the show...you'd see that the Japanese "whalers" disguise their ships/crew as "scientists" because taking whales for science is the only way it's legal.

I see the Whale War people as nothing more than folks who are trying to stop poachers.

Re: Whale Wars...

These line crossing discussions are endless. Why ever kill a cow? Why limit how many oz of soda you can buy? Why allow or disallow foie gras? Please be careful with this discussion guys. No way for us to determine the righteousness of this endeavor from either side.

I think it is totally righteous that iboats got coverage :)

Not sure it was iboats. Didn't see a pop-up that would confirm it.
