Yea, I'm surprised at how intact the front of the car was after that.

To put that in perspective....

I have a '92 Ranger, 3.0L V6. About 170hp/200ft-lbs. I can let out on the clutch, and the truck won't stall. It WILL move forward. It takes a lot of brake effort on my part to make the truck stall if it's in 1st gear.

That mustang has around 500hp, and probably 500ft-lbs of torque. It would not surprise me at all that it could get itself going by simply letting off on the clutch, especially if it's a high(cold) idle.

AYUH,
That it can. My work partner has a Mustang. Not the '07 and it would do that.

I drool everytime I ride in his car. I would have bigger problems in the '07 :)

LOL well my expirence with stick was a little tiny Hyundai........it would stall easily, but you could "roll" foreward. It was at a snails pace though.

Watch it again... you hear the starter, a chirp, and the car is on it's way... no clutch here, the kid was brought up on an automatic.

I can't help but notice the car enters the right hand side of the garage, exits the left, and then the camera goes to the ground when the car goes in.....when the the camera finally returns back to the accident, it looks like the other car would be in the way.

Are you saying he didn't push in the clutch at all? Because all newer cars come with a clutch switch on them, to prevent the vehicle from starting without the clutch pushed in.

No, it's going in the left side. Just hard to tell because the camera jitters so much. But if you watch REAL close, you can tell.
