I got a deal on a very used zodiac with a Suzuki 9.9, and ran it for several years before the transom let go.<br /><br />I took my son (lived in California at the time) to shag some lobster over sports season when he was around 12. During the running around, some wiring got loose and hitting the kill switch put spark plug voltage directly to the thumb. Really lit my fire, so each time we came to rest I'd choke it to shut it down. Never got around to mentioning it to my son.<br /><br />Taught him to drive the Zodiac that year.<br /><br />He really had a blast, with me sitting just forward.<br /><br />Did I mention that I never got around to telling him another way to shut off the engine?<br /><br />Poor kid must have taken it up the arm 20 times before he asked about it.
