Re: What anti-theft devices do you own?
All (well not all!) joking aside,
A cheapy for in the driveway in the urban areas is a timed light or a passive I/R spotlight. A Dud camera in a visible place.
If someone has made their mind up to steal your boat they'll most likely find a way. Not meaning to say it isn't worth it though, preparedness can save a lot of trouble.
I used a plugged in alarm on the murdercycle, so that if you were to pull it away it would unplug and set off a siren alarm. but it never got tripped.
A cheapy electronic alarm unit with a simple set of two or more circuits will do, If you are going to do that, pick one with a circuit or circuits that are controllable to have a "normally closed circuit", so you can either use a plugin system or a magnetic swtch to be activated when the thing you are protecting is moved. I did it my way with the plug it is more positive and there is less chance to accidently trip it.
A yard light is what I use at the moment, with a camera under the light so I can at least have some form of evidence and maybe a license plate or something. (I am also going to use the "plugin" alarm trip I mentioned before, as I just brought home another boat.)
Up here where I am there's really not a lot of thieving going on as everyone looks out for one another and we are aching to shoot something out of boredom
