i just bought a pro v 1660 delux tournement and have no idea what my switches on the consol are for,i have the one for the live well, bildge, interior lights figured.i can't remember what other ones are there but there is nav, anchor and a couple of others.i hit them and they don't seem to do anything, they light up though.allso i have two pipes feeding my live well but water only comes out of one,is this a problem?and it looks like there is a screen on the inside of the well but i don't know if there is a pump to drain it.i have been pulling the plug in the well to drain it.it seems that after a few hours on the water i can pump out allot of water with the bildge pump.the back end sits low in the water the drain holes on the back deck are pretty much licking the water so it might be from there,i hope any way there doesn't seem to be any loose rivets so i guess my question is this normal?any help would put my mind at ease.

nav, anchor, are your lights. nav is bow light, and stern light anchor is just the stern light. yes you pull the plug on live well to drain. the other hoses is the overflow, so it only gets so full, rather than run over i the boat.

The nav and anchor switches should control the lights on the bow and stern of your boat.

As for water in the bilge, there shouldn't be any, except for what comes in the boat with you or the fish. You'll need to track down the source of that water and fix it.

Who sold you the boat? Can you ask them about the function of the switches?

Well, before you start pulling the floor out, do a careful inspection of the entire hull. You may have to shift it around on the trailer to see everything. I don't know your boat, so I don't know if it's glass or aluminum, but you'll be looking for damage to the glass or broken welds or rivets if it's aluminum.

Also, you can see if water's dripping out from the underside while it's on the trailer. By raising or lowering the trailer tongue, you can expose at least the keel to whatever water's in the bilge. If it leaks in, it's likely to leak out.

The keel, points of contact with rollers or bunks, and other spots are potential leak sources, as are all through-hull items, like drain plugs. Also, anything attached to the transom with through bolts is a likely candidate.

Finally, look up the weight of your boat, motor, and trailer and go weigh the thing at a scale. If it's waterlogged, you'll find out.

Add: OK, I see that it's a Lund, so it's aluminum. Is it riveted or welded? In any case, next time you're out, leave the water in the bilge when you retrieve and check it for leaks dripping from the keel area.

Re: what are my switches for?

It could be as simple as a broken hose on the live well over flow or drain and the water is going into the hull instaed of out the drain.

Find the problem before you start tearing it apart, could be alot of work for nothing.

Re: what are my switches for?

thanx for the tips guys,i filled the boat with water last night and found three leaks ,one is a pin hole in the middle between rivets, one is a hairline crack the length of three rivets, and the last is somewere under the keel. my repairs will probably make some of you wonder but what i did with the surface ones was i bought a spray sealent that was made for aluminium roof repair, seems pretty good.my other idea for the keel was to drill a small hole in the back then slide a hose up it and fill with spray foam all the way back.i have talked to one guy who had the same problem and he welded from the inside.i know this is the proper fix but under my floor the whole boat is foam and i would have to rip my whole boat apart.any other suggestions would be great!!!

Or like I found out this weekend, mice have been chewing on the fill line for my forward live well.
