Both pictures below are looking at the left side of the engine. What are these and what do they do?

In this pic the starter is on the right, and the black threaded pipe looking thing is stuck to the hull. It's filled with water right now, is that ok? It collected while I was cleaning the boat during my engine repair. And what is the line coming out of it for?

The top one is the trim pump for the drive. The bottom one appears to be a thru-hull transducer for a depth finder.

That first picture is of your trim motor and solenoids are to the left of the motor. (where the wires are running to)

Top picture is your hydraulic pump & reservoir for your lower unit/ stern drive.

Hard to tell what you are looking at in the bottom pict, but I do see your starter on the right.

Well, the boat did come with a depthfinder showing how close the bottom of the water is to the bottom of the hull.

Ok so what is the required maintenance on the trim pump/reservoir? I don't recall running across posts regarding it.

You just make sure there is fluid in it - level looks fine from the picture. Other than that not really any maint to it unless something stops working.

The thing to the left of starter is a shoot thru transducer that the wire coming out of it goes to a head unit like a Lowrance. or Garmin maybe a Hummingbird. They are usually filled with mineral water. Some don't have any liquid in them. It's used for depth and fish finding. Look to see if you can get a manuf. name off of it.

The top pic is a trim pump reservoir. There is no maintenance to them unless you get water in the fluid or change the fluid.

Ayuh,... Most posts 'bout Trim Pumps are when they don't work,...

Generally the Problem is corroded wirin' ends, 'n connections...

Spray some Grease on yer's, so ya don't get that Problem...
